Sport-Club Charlottenburg (Männer)

Sport-Club Charlottenburg (SCC) is a big sports club from Berlin, Germany. It's mostly known for it's track and field section and organising the Berlin Marathon. Several Olympics winner came from SCC.

The men's football team played one season in the 2. Bundesliga in 1983-84. Their goalkeeper back then was later German national team goalkeeper Andreas Köpke. 1983 was also the year Ralf Wunderlich became a member of the SCC, and he considers the club his home club.

In 2025, the men's team plays in the highest Berlin division, the Berlin-Liga. It's the sixt highest tier in Germany these days. The second team plays in the Bezirksliga (8th tier). Their 32+ seniors team won the Berlin championship in 2024, beating the unbeatable Hertha BSC seniors.

During the 1990s, the club had a legendary team around captain Christian Seydel and his tough defenders Thomas Rüster and Stefan Hoffmann. It was wonderful to watch the games of that team which was coached by the Berlin coaching legend Claudio Offenberg.
