About Fudis

    Admin

“Fudis” is a social media and connectivity platform for hobby footballers by Ralf Wunderlich. It went online in April 2025.

It is an alternative place for people who don't want to sell their souls to big corps like Meta, but who would like to post about their hobby football adventures, or read from other people with the same interest.

There are no ads here, no tracking, no suggested content. You will only see what people post here.

What this platform offers you (I'm constantly working on new features and improvements):

    1. Post and read “Fudisnews” to promote your football activities. This is similar to Twitter and Bluesky.

    2. Write “Fudisreports”. This is similar to Facebook, but better! You can write match reports of your games and even embed a Youtube video of your game.

    3. Post and view photos on the “Fudigram”. This tool is not as fancy as, but functions similarly to Instagram. You can also use it as an online photo gallery like Flickr.

    4. Publish or learn about “Fudisvents” to promote your team's or club's happenings like games or tournaments.

    5. Create your own site-internal “Fudisteam”. That's a group for members-only where you can discuss team-internal things, add photos that only your teammates can see etc.

    6. Browse the “Fudiswiki”. While there are many football-related entries in the real Wikipedia, almost all hobby footballers are too irrelevant to get added there. Now we have our own hobby football Wiki, like so many other communities as well. Create yourself a wiki which makes you like like a pro player. But for fun.

    7. Participate in “Fudiscussions”. This is a reminiscence of the good old days of internet 1.0: a classic online forum. Respect the netiquette!

    8. Find and search for teammates, teams, referees or clubs. (This function isn't online yet.)

    9. Communicate with other “Fudismembers” through following, subscribing, befriending, liking, commenting and direct messaging. This feature is similar to what all the commercial social media platforms offer.

    10. A “Fudiswall” offers you an overview of all the things happening on Fudis. It's sorted chronologically and nothing gets suppressed. You can see everything or only what you filter for yourself.

On my “to do”-list are the following features:

    • A chat-feature for smoother and private communication.

    • Mobile phone app versions (only if I get funding).

    • Tournament integration.

    • Video integration.

Fudis is free. I don’t want your money. I don't want your soul. Whether you join me in addition to other platforms or exclusively is up to you. And if you don't join me, then Fudis works nonetheless, because you can read the content without registering and if no one else, then at least I will add content here.

If you like what you see, you can may make a donation via WhyDonate. But you don’t have to.

Fudis is the only place where I publish my news from April 2025 onward, aside from my official website (www.ralfwunderlich.com). All my social media accounts were closed on 31st January 2025.

Let’s make the world a better place, at least the fudis-side of it.

    Kick it,

    Ralf Wunderlich
